July 2012 - Sari made it to CGA State Finals in Hollister once again! This year she was going to ride Riley but about 2 weeks before we were leaving Riley went lame. A friend of Sari's riding instructors was kind enough to let us borrow one of her horses for the week and Sari was still able to compete at CGA State Finals. Sari and Buddy got along great and they did awesome considering she had only been on him for 1 week.
This is Ashlie on our way there. We had to leave about 5am to get there so we just woke the kids up and got straight in the car. Evidently Ashlie wasn't quite ready to wake up!
While Sari was busy riding Buddy Tyler was busy earning Bolado Bucks. They have tons of games and activities to keep the kids entertained all week long. For each of the different activities you can earn Bolado Bucks which you can then spend at the little Bolado Store. Tyler bought this helicopter with his Bolado Bucks.
This is Sari at the end of the week with all of her winnings. She got 3 1st places which each earned her a belt buckle, and then numerous other placings.
This is her the first day - she had just found out that she had won 1st place in her first event of the competition! Think she was surprised???
