Sari at the CGA State Finals

If you have followed our blog at all over the past few months you would know how well Sari has been doing at her local Gymkhana competitions! With much hard work at practices and her competitions she was able to go to the State Finals in Hollister this year the end of July. She had to move up to a new division than she was used to competing in so the competition was a little more fierce than she was used to. That's okay - she still did GREAT!!!

Can you believe in 2 of her events she was actually too fast and placed in the division ahead of herself and so she was not awarded anything in those events - can you believe too fast??? One of them was 1/2 a second too fast and the other was 2/10 of a second too fast - craziness!!!

She still managed to get a 2nd place, two 3rd places, and two 7th places!!! She rocked the state finals and we are sooo proud of her!

Happy 10th Birthday Ashlie!!!

10 years ago today our sweet Princess Ashlie joined our family! I had a rather long and difficult labor with Ashlie and so over the past couple of days we've had several opportunities to share with her exactly what we were doing 10 years ago! Despite the pain and challenges it's been fun to remember back to those first few days! We always tease her about how cranky and colicky she was as a baby - EVERYONE walked with her at some point in time because that was usually the only way to get her to be quiet :) I loved each new milestone with Ashlie because as she learned to do new things and gain her own independence she became happier and more content!

And now...10 years later I can still see the same personality traits in her! She is a beautiful young lady full of determination! She knows what she wants and does not quit until she gets it! We are so blessed to have her in our family!!!
